‘Hi there’ is about waking up. In this strange time we only see the impossible things in life. Sometimes I think people find recognition in an ostrich. Once an ostrich portrait, the smiles awakens.

Motherland

2021


Motherland is the earth, the mother is strong, pushing her calf forward towards the world. Teach him, keep him from fear. Love and let go teach him what she once learned from her mother; to discover the unknown for yourself. But in this uncertain future today, we have to file early before we can discover. This world has changed. Mother Earth will strike back, but now she is being put to the test. There is too much going on in this crazy world, and for what?

'Mteto and mr. Hildebrandt’s', A story of an orphan. ‘On their way back, they found a small baby elephant walking alone along the road. It’s hard to know if the carcass was that of the mother, but it seems likely given the closeness of the two, despite the carcass looking a few weeks old. The calf was in an emaciated condition, indicating that she had been alone for a long time before being rescued, held and captured, then loaded into the Land Cruiser and taken to the Trust’s headquarters in Maluku next to the Triangle.” Rescued and brought to Sheldrick trust in Kenya.

Satao

Portrait of ‘Satao’  Satao was een Afrikaanse olifant die in Tsavo NP in kenia woonde. Men dacht dat hij eind jaren 60 geboren was. Hij werd geschat als één van de meest gigantische olifanten ter wereld op het moment van zijn dood en is beschreven als een van Kenia's meest iconische olifanten om zijn bekende slagtanden.
